It’s actually a complete re-write of a story I completed for a creative writing course several years ago. This particular tale is one my wife loves to tease me about. You’ll know why when you read it. 😉
Looking back upon this original work is a pleasant(?) reminder of how much my skill has improved. It even inspired me to reach back EVEN FURTHER and read some novel concepts and sample chapters I wrote back in high school. NEVER DO THIS!
It was so awful. I still have nightmares about it.
Welcome back to my website! I’ve made the decision to keep this whole page up to date with everything going on in my world of writing. I even added a blog section where I’m going to be laying out my thoughts and musings of this journey. Feel free to check it out and give me your thoughts. Each blog post should hopefully be able a specific question or curiosity that has come the forefront of my latest writing endeavor.
Any new short stories I write I will be sure to post up here, as well. It’s been some time since I worked on anything of that medium since the novel has taken up so much of my time the past few years. However, now that the book is all done and we’re waiting on agents and publishers, I’ll be expanding my horizons and trying out some new things.
In any case, I’m glad to be back and I hope to hear from you all soon.
After a break that was far too long, I am back to writing full time. I’m super excited and can’t wait to update everyone with my progress on the book. For now, I’d like to introduce you to Hyde. A character I love writing about and one that’ll play a big part in this adventure. So, without further ado, go read “The Name’s Hyde, and the Pleasure’s All Mine…”
We’re so close to 100 likes that I decided to release chapter 2 just a little bit early.
I hope you all enjoy it, and be sure to give me a like and share on Facebook so we can get more chapters coming in quicker!
Due to our overwhelming support in reaching our goal of 50 likes on Facebook we now have Chapter 1 ready to view. Thank you so much for your interest in “Life & Death” and keep the positive vibes up so I can keep sharing my book with you all!
Follow Ishmael the wolf as he investigates something wrong in his native forest home of Tarafel. A new smell, a dead smell rouses him from his slumber, and leads him to a corner of the forest he knows he shouldn’t go. But he must, his master needs to know the dead smell…
This is the first post in what will be a new blog about my upcoming fantasy novel “Life & Death”.
Life & Death is an epic, dark fantasy novel that follows a haunted old Necromancer as he seeks to investigate local villages that have been abandoned and left without a soul alive. Fortunately for him, dead men do tell tales. When he stumbles upon a young boy who’s family was murdered by this unseen threat, the two become an unlikely duo. Two weary souls adrift and a world unraveling without a trace. Life & Death is a novel that challenges what you define as good and evil.
Here I will be posting previews(Mostly comprising of chapters and excerpts from the book itself) for everyone to read, enjoy, and hopefully share with their friends and family.
I’m very excited to share my writing with everyone and I hope you all enjoy it!
Glimpses into the writing of Scott Blinn. Sample chapters from my novels, short stories, and a blog.
